TH1NG's privacy policy describes your rights over your data, how we use it, and how we protect it. We handle and store your data, and it is important for us to do so in a legal and reliable manner. You should feel confident in letting us handle your data.

We collect two types of data about you: customer data and traffic data:

Customer data: Information related to services you purchase from us, such as social security number, name, phone number, email address, address. It can also be information about the services you have and how you use them, passwords, user IDs, orders, and other information you have provided.

Traffic data: When you use our services, there are data associated with it. Traffic data is processed for the purpose of transmitting an electronic message over an electronic communication network, such as IP logs, email logs, and call history if you have telephony with us.

How we protect your data

We constantly work to ensure that we protect the privacy of our customers. This security work includes everything from the physical protection needed for our offices, databases, and network elements to the work of protecting your personal data in all processes and systems where it is handled.

Much of the work is dedicated to information security regarding your data to prevent it from being spread to outsiders or lost. Only those who need access to your data to perform their duties have access to it. All our data processing is logged, allowing us to continuously monitor the handling. Data encryption is done using recognized and secure encryption methods, and we continuously work to prevent intrusions, spam, and viruses in our networks.

There must be a legal basis in applicable data protection regulations to process data, a so-called legal ground. It must be necessary for the legal ground to be lawful.

To provide services and products, we need to manage and process your data.

Here are some examples of the purposes for which we process your data and the legal grounds we rely on:

Service provision

  • We process data to identify you as a customer, manage and deliver orders according to your agreement, and provide communication services. To ensure operation and connect calls or emails to the recipient. We process data for billing purposes, manage payments and invoices, handle complaints and claims, conduct credit assessments, and resolve errors and incidents.

  • We process data to develop our services and networks, develop and manage our business and processes. For analysis purposes, we may compile statistics. Data used for this purpose will be anonymized.

  • We process data to ensure the security of all our communication networks and services, detect and prevent various types of illegal use or use of the service that violates the terms. We also process this data to prevent fraud, virus attacks, and misuse of networks and services.

How long do we save data

We never save data longer than necessary. Some data is discarded immediately, while others are saved for different periods depending on the purpose of the data and our obligations under the law.

  • Customer data is saved as long as you are a customer of TH1NG and for a maximum of 24 months after the contractual relationship has ended. Exceptions apply to data that must be saved according to the law, such as the Accounting Act.

  • Traffic data is saved for billing purposes. In the case of unpaid invoices, the data is saved until the claim is settled. When the invoice is settled, the data is deleted after 24 months, with exceptions for data that must be saved according to the law, such as the Accounting Act.

  • We also save traffic data to be able to assist you if there is something wrong with the services we provide. To offer better services based on our customers' needs, we also save statistics based on this data. This data is saved for 6-24 months.

  • To offer you a range of services and attractive offers that match your needs, we save certain data, such as information about your data consumption. We save this information for 24 months.

Who do we disclose data to

We may disclose your data to subcontractors and partners.

  • Subcontractors and other companies processing data on our behalf

    • In various areas, we engage suppliers to deliver our services. This means they need certain information about you as a customer. These parties may not use data about you for any other purpose than to provide services or under the terms we specify.

  • Transfer to third countries

    • Some suppliers may have part of their operations in countries outside Sweden or the EU/EEA (so-called "third countries"). If we transfer your data to a supplier in such a third country to provide the service to you, we take appropriate protective measures and ensure that the transferred data is processed in accordance with applicable law.

  • Authorities

    • We are obliged, upon request according to the law and official decisions, to disclose the data specified in the decision, for example, to the police.

  • Emergency services

    • During calls to SOS Alarm.

  • Other operators or service providers providing or participating in the provision of your services

    • When you make calls with us to a recipient in another operator's network, for example, during international calls (international roaming), certain data may need to be disclosed to that operator to provide the service.

  • Rights holders according to copyright legislation (Ipred)

    • This means that rights holders who suspect illegal file sharing of their copyrights, such as films or music, may turn to the court, and the court may decide that we should disclose information about the user of a specific IP address.

  • Others

    • If you have given your consent, we may also disclose your data to companies, organizations, or individuals outside TH1NG in cases other than those specified above, such as directory assistance companies if you have telephony.

Your Rights

Right to information: As a customer, you have the right to obtain free information about the personal data we process about you. If the data subject requests information in electronic format, the information shall be provided in an electronic format that is commonly used, unless the data subject requests otherwise.

Right to rectification of inaccurate or misleading data: We are responsible for ensuring that the personal data we process about you is accurate and up to date. If you discover any inaccuracies, you have the right to request the correction of this data.

Right to erasure of your data: Under certain circumstances, you have the right to have your personal data erased. This applies in the following situations:

  • If the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.

  • If the data was collected solely based on your consent, and you withdraw that consent.

  • If you object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

  • If you object to the processing of the personal data based on a balancing of interests, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms.

Right to object to data processing: Right to object to the processing of personal data carried out by TH1NG based on a balancing of interests. We need to receive information about the specific processing you object to. After that, we may only continue processing the data if there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests. In marketing purposes, you always have the right to object to the processing of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data if you contest the accuracy of the personal data, the processing is unlawful, or the data is no longer needed for the purposes of the processing.
